  1.    A NIGHT ON RANGOR

  3. Rangor is the third moon of
  4. Taos IV, in the Gailan star
  5. system located many light
  6. years from the center of the
  7. civilized galaxy.
  8.  
  9. It has served as a waystop,
  10. a meeting place, and a source
  11. of supplies for a millinium,
  12. to those who travelled to the
  13. neighboring Coso Nuovas
  14. system, to obtain the chunks
  15. of frozen grazal, so precious
  16. in this part of the universe.
  17.  
  18. Because of it's plentiful
  19. supplies of fuel resources,
  20. and other desirable minerals,
  21. cadmium, radium, berium and
  22. the scarce dirilium; a mining
  23. operation was constructed.
  24.  
  25. When the Tior'on Wave
  26. approached this sector of the
  27. galaxy, those insectiods with
  28. such uncompariable ruthless-
  29. ness, and intelligence to
  30. match, soon realized the
  31. strategic gain which control
  32. of Rangor offered.
  33.  
  34. The quadraped, Tior'on Wave,
  35. have been space-faring before
  36. most other lifeforms had
  37. crawled or rolled or flopped
  38. out of the primodial soup
  39. which spawned their creation
  40. on their homeworlds, so it
  41. was the Tior'on destiny to
  42. rule all other lifeforms,
  43. or so was their belief.
  44.  
  45. As the millinium passed,
  46. the Tior'on Wave became to
  47. mean fear, destruction,
  48. obliteration and death to
  49. all lifeforms who would not
  50. submit to their rule.
  51.  
  52. One of the most notorious
  53. Tior'on commanders was the
  54. infamous Commodor Kroll,
  55. champion of the Tior'on Wave,
  56. conquerer of Alabar,
  57. Tiris III, Banar'on, o'Tot
  58. and a thousand other worlds.
  59.  
  60. A chance intelligence windfall,
  61. lead to the realization that
  62. Commodor Kroll would soon be
  63. on Rangor, to supervise the
  64. preparation for the expected
  65. Tior'on offensive in this
  66. sector.
  67.  
  68. It is expected that the
  69. Commodor, his personal guard
  70. and staff, are inspecting the
  71. staging areas, planned by the
  72. local Tior'on garrison.
  73.  
  74. This never-before opportunity
  75. to capture or destroy this
  76. hated bug commander, cannot
  77. be ignored! The Wave will be
  78. set back extensively by his
  79. removal.
  80.  
  81. You will be outfitted with
  82. a Mobile Infantry Battelion,
  83. equipped with the new Gauven
  84. Speeders, supported by a
  85. Heavy Weapons platoon.
  86.  
  87. The strike force will be
  88. transported in one of the
  89. new "cloakable" Star Gallion
  90. Transports to the far side
  91. of the Rangor moon.
  92.  
  93. Your strike force must seek
  94. out and capture or destroy the
  95. hated Kroll, and return your
  96. forces to the landing zone
  97. for pickup and return.
